We are pleased to share the exciting news that Paxton Medical Group (including Claughton, Townfield, and Fender Way surgeries), Heatherlands Medical Centre, and Prenton & Woodchurch Medical Centre have been given approval to form a new Primary Care Network (PCN).

The new PCN will be called Healthier Neighbourhoods PCN, reflecting our commitment to deliver exceptional patient-centred care to our communities. There will be no loss of patient services. Services will be continued or enhanced, and in most cases delivered closer to home. The benefits to our patients include:

• Services will be delivered in our patients’ local surgeries rather than elsewhere on the Wirral.
• Our patients will be able to access enhanced services such as physiotherapy, health coaching, and social prescribers closer to home.
• Patients will benefit from additional GP appointments, including evenings and weekends (launching later in 2024).

Our new website is currently under construction, but will launch in the coming weeks. We look forward to sharing more information with you very soon.
